군장대학은 2011학년도부터 ‘자동차기계공학과’ 학사학위 전공심화과정이 2년 수업연한 야간과정으로 설치된다고 밝혔다.
학사학위 전공심화과정은 전문대학 졸업 재직경력자들의 계속교육 활성화를 위해 취업경력자가 전공심화과정을 이수하면 4년제 대학과 동일한 학사학위를 취득할 수 있는 제도이다.
전공심화과정 입학자격은 전공심화과정과 동일계열의 전문대학을 졸업하고 관련분야의 산업체 근무경력이 1년 이상인 자로, 2년제 학과의 경우 2년, 3년제 학과는 1년 이상의 수업연한 과정에서 전문대학 졸업 학점을 포함해 140학점 이상을 이수하게 되면 학사학위를 취득하게 된다.
한편 교육과학기술부는 지난 7일 군장대학을 비롯 전국 25개 전문대학 33개 학과에 대해 2011학년도 전문대학 학사학위 심화과정 설치를 추가로 인가했다.
