군산대학교(총장 채정룡)는 지난 9일 황룡문화관 2층 대회의실에서 2011학년도 외국인 유학생 입학식을 가졌다.
이날 행사는 채정룡 총장 외 대학 관계자와 유학생 등 200여명이 참가한 가운데 입학허가 선언에 이어 체육학과에 입학한 유학생 대표 취이이따(중국)의 입학생 선서 등으로 이어졌다.
이번에 입학한 유학생은 학사과정 경영학부 까오평 외 16명(중국 17명), 석사과정 전자정보공학부 우하오 외 10명(중국 8명, 베트남 1명, 방글라데시 1명, 파키스탄 1명), 박사과정 토목공학부 야세르 빅델리 외 1명(일본 1명, 이란 1명), 교환학생 국어국문학과 쉬진화 외 2명(중국 3명) 등 총 33명이다.
현재 군산대에 재학중인 학생은 학부 180명, 대학원 석사 53명, 박사 11명이며 국적별로는 중국 234명, 필리핀 3명, 일본 1명, 베트남 2명, 방글라데시 1명, 스리랑카 1명, 파키스탄 1명, 이란 1명 등이다.
채정룡 총장은 식사에서 “초심의 중요성을 강조하며 유학생활의 성패는 초심을 언제까지 간직하느냐에 달려있다”며 “유학생활이 끝날 때까지 초심을 잃지 말고 정진하여 성공적인 유학생활을 하기 바란다”고 말했다.
