새만금 관광시대, 농수산물 활성화 추진

생산업체 안내표지판 설치∙안내지도 제작

군산시가 새만금 방조제 개통을 앞두고 새만금 관광과 연계한 농수특산물 판매활성화에 팔 걷고 나섰다.

시는 오는 27일 새만금 방조제 준공식과 더불어 새만금 관광이 본격적으로 실시될 경우 관광객이 폭발적으로 증가할 것이라는 판단 아래, 농수특산물 생산가공업체를 관광자원으로 활용해 농수특산물의 판매를 증진시킨다는 전략이다.

이에 시는 4월중 군산 농수특산물 인터넷 판매 사이트인 ‘군산팜’ 입점 업체들을 대상으로 사업비 2560만원을 들여 업체 안내표지판을 제작 지원한다.

또한 관내 지도를 활용해 업체의 위치, 생산품목, 품목별 특징, 각종 수상사항 등을 표시한 ‘군산 농특산물 관광안내 지도’ 10만매를 제작했으며, 관광안내소, 고속도로 휴게소, 숙박업소 등에 비치 활용해 새만금 관광객의 눈길과 발길을 사로잡고 있다.

특히 외국 관광객들을 위해 ‘업체 안내표지판과 안내지도’를 영문, 일어, 중국어를 병행 표기해 제작함으로써 글로벌 관광시대에 대비하고 있다.

시 관계자는 “앞으로도 지속적으로 새만금 관광시대 소비자를 겨냥한 각종 농수특산물 판매대책을 강구해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
