시, 가상화 단말기 본청 보급

군산시가 전국 지방자치단체 최초로 행정 업무용 컴퓨터를 “SBC(Server Based Computing)기반의 가상화 단말기”로 교체하고 행정업무서비스를 개시했다.

SBC 기반 가상화 단말기는 업무용 컴퓨터의 본체를 제거하고 중앙서버에서 모든 자원을 관리하는 방식이다.

PC 소비전력 절감, 냉방효과 상승, PC폐기에 따른 유해환경 개선을 위해 소비되는 탄소발생량을 줄임으로써 저탄소 녹색성장 그린 ICT(정보통신기술) 확산이라는 국가정보화전략에 부합하는 사업이다.




또한 개인 컴퓨터에서 발생하는 열, 분진, 소음, 전자파로부터 사용자를 보호하고 사무환경을 개선함으로써 행정업무 능률을 향상시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다.

시는 2010년부터 1차로 올해 행정업무용 PC 100대를 가상화 단말기로 교체보급을 완료하였으며, 2013년까지 총사업비 42억원을 들여 행정업무용 컴퓨터 1,600여대를 가상화 단말기(VDI)로 교체하기 위한 사업을 추진하고 있다.

시 관계자는 “이번 사업은 군산시가 지자체 최초로 추진하는 사례로 도내 시군구 뿐만 아니라 타지역 자치단체의 문의가 쇄도하고 있다”고 말했다.

지금 구축되어 있는 중앙부처나 기업들도 일부환경만을 sbc구축해놓았는데
모든 컴퓨터 SBC 구축이라는것은 너무 모험적이지 않을까?

컴터 한대당 260만원씩 지금은 한대당 100만원꼴 이것도 5년주기로 업데이트 해야 할텐데 sbc비용이 기존 컴터 유지하는 것 보다 약 3배정도 더나오는데 그리고 멀티미디어 구현은 꽝일텐데 과연 잘 될른지
