군산의료원, 환경의 날 신시도 자연보호캠페인

5일 월영산 산행 병행

군산의료원(이상열 원장) 직원 40여 명은 지난 5일 환경의 날을 맞아 신시도 월영산 산행과 함께 자연보호캠페인 행사를 펼쳤다.

이번 행사는 군산시에서 의료와 관광을 연계한 사업으로 적극 추진하고 있는 새만금을 소중하게 지키고 가꾸고자 마련됐다.

행사를 주관한 양성철 팀장은 “새만금 개통이후 많은 관광객들이 방문하면서 쓰레기로 몸살을 앓고 있는 신시도를 우리가 소중하게 지켜야 한다는 마음으로 행사를 가지게 됐다”고 말했다.

신경외과 장성조 진료부장은 “군산의료원산악회 회장으로써 앞으로는 산악회에서도 분기별로 한 번 정도는 쓰레기봉투를 들고 등반할 것”이라며, “우리의 작은 행동이 큰 물결의 파장처럼 파급되기를 바라는 마음으로 앞으로는 다른 단체와 연계해서 지속적으로 추진해 나갈 것”고 밝혔다.
