군산시 보건소는 하계 휴가철을 맞아 해외여행객 증가와 야외수련회 및 자원봉사 단체활동 등이 활발해지고 있는 가운데 집단설사환자 및 수인성․식품매개전염병 발생을 조기에 차단하기 위해 ‘건강한 여름나기’ 수칙 홍보활동에 나섰다.
건강한 여름나기 수칙은 ▲음식을 먹거나 준비하기 전, 화장실을 다녀온 후, 쓰레기 취급 후, 기침∙재채기 후에 손을 깨끗이 씻을 것 ▲각종 전염병을 예방하기 위해서는 손으로 눈∙코∙입을 만지지 말 것 ▲재채기나 기침을 할 경우 휴지로 입과 코를 가리고 한 후 휴지를 버리고 손을 깨끗이 씻어야 할 것 등이다.
또한 하루에 8번 30초씩 손씻기를 생활화하자는 ‘1830운동’에 적극 동참할 것을 강조했다.
시 관계자는 “1830손씻기로 감염성질병의 80%를 감소시킬 수 있으므로 시민들이 건강한 여름을 지내기 위해서는 손씻기를 생활화해야 한다”며 “해외 방문 후 발열(37.8℃)이 있으면서 인후통과 기침, 콧물 등이 있거나 수인성∙식품매개질환의 증상(구토, 설사, 복통) 등 유사증상이 있을 시 즉시 보건소에 신고하고 가까운 병(의)원이나 보건소에서 치료 받을 것”을 당부했다.
한편 군산시는 지난 26일 여객선터미널과 시외버스터미널에서 피서객과 시민들을 대상으로 보건관계공무원 15여명이 참석한 가운데 1830 손씻기와 각종 수인성 전염병 예방 홍보물을 배부하는 등 ‘건강한 여름나기’ 캠페인을 실시했다.
