U-통합센터 중간보고회 가져

군산시는 지난 10일 U-통합관제센터와 교통운영체계선진모델도시의 개막을 알리는 ITS 국비사업 기본계획 수립·설계용역 중간보고회를 가졌다.

교통정보센터(ITS)는 국토해양부·행전안전부와 경찰청의 저탄소녹색성장을 국정기조로 하는 공모사업에 군산시가 각각 응모하여 국비 65억원을 확보한 사업이다.

군산시 교통정보센터(ITS)는 단순히 교통관제센터만의 역할에서 벗어나 시 전역에 분산 운영돼 왔던 CCTV 영상정보를 통합·연계해 각종 범죄예방과 치안유지, 생활안전 업무에 필요한 모든 상황조치를 합동 대응할 수 있는 시스템이다.

이번 중간보고회는 올해 말 준공을 목표로 첨단교통관리시스템(ATMS), CCTV통합관제센터, 교통운영체계 선진화 모델도시 사업의 성공적 추진을 위해, 각 관계기관 관계자들과 시민 의견을 적극 수렴하기 위해 열렸다.

시 관계자는 “U 통합센터가 구축되면 군산시믄 명실상부한 첨단 교통 모델도시로 거듭나게 된다”고 말하고 사업이 차질이 빚어지지 않도록 최선의 노력을 기울이겠다고 말했다.
