철새도래지∙큰들의 꿈∙옥토진미 골드 선정

오는 21일 농수산물유통공사서 시상식

군산쌀이 2010년 최고 고품질 브랜드쌀 평가에서 다시금 대한민국 최고임을 증명했다.

농림수산식품부는 한국소비자단체협의회가 주관해 평가한 2010 고품질 브랜드 쌀 12개를 최종 선정해 19일 발표했다.

이 결과 군산 제희 미곡종합처리장(RPC)에서 생산한 철새도래지쌀이 품종순도와 품위평가에서 최고 점수를 받으면서 최우수쌀에 선정됐으며, 우수쌀에는 대야농협 큰들의 꿈, 회현농협 옥토진미 골드가 각각 이름을 올렸다.

이에 따라 철새도래지쌀은 5년 연속 12대 브랜드에 선정됐고, 큰들의 꿈은 3년 연속, 옥토진미 골드는 2년 연속 수상의 기쁨을 안았다.

이번에 선정된 12개 최고 고품질 브랜드쌀에게는 정부시상(장관상 및 포상금), 벼 매입자금 등 정책자금 우대지원 등 다양한 혜택이 주어진다.

시 관계자는 “이번 성과는 전국 지자체 최초로 생산표준설명서를 제작해 품질을 엄격히 관리해온데다 친환경적인 쌀 생산을 위해 힘을 쏟은 농민과 RPC의 노력이 낳은 결실”이라고 밝혔다.

한편 2010 최고 고품질 브랜드쌀 시상식은 오는 21일 농수산물유통공사서 열릴 예정이다.
